Haiden Deegan has officially signed his deal to race a Star Yamaha 450 next season but as things stand he won’t be stepping up to race Jett Lawrence in supercross – waiting until outdoors but is that ducking Jett Lawrence in favour of a FOURTH year on a 250 indoors?
Deegan said in the press release: “I am pumped to re-sign with Monster Energy Yamaha Star Racing. The plan will be to race the 250 in Supercross, and then make the move to the 450 class for Motocross and SMX. I’m grateful for the opportunity and more fired up than ever. Let’s keep grinding.”
According to Racer X, the team manager has given Deegan permission to race Budds Creek in a couple of weeks on the 450 IF he wins the 250 outdoor title before that find round at Budds Creek, so that might be the first time we see the battle the world is waiting for, even if Brian Deegan said that was fake news!
Despite that, the Deegan have just put out a video of the hyped Deegan riding a 450, as he starts his prep to take on Jett Lawrence….with Deegan saying he can go three seconds a lap faster than on his 250:
