Haiden Deegan put a block pass on Max Anstie for the lead and the win as Anstie got stuck under the bike eventually taking fifth! Deegan did apologise to Anstie on the podium saying he didn’t mean to put Anstie on the ground.
Anstie said: “That was impressive, I have to take it on the chin, I didn’t expect that – I went down like a sack of potatoes, I didn’t want to play the games but it is what it is.”
