Team USA had their worst nightmare in Las Vegas after Haiden Deegan then Chase Sexton both crashed out of the event!
Haiden Deegan accidentally landed on Ryder di Francisco and appeared to break his collarbone while trying to take Jo Shimoda out for the title putting his place in team USA very much in doubt!
Moto one saw Deegan accidently land on Di Francisco before charging back to second but this was a scary moment for the GasGas rider.

The pivotal crash took place in the second moto after some earlier games before the move that left Deegan holding his shoulder and walking away from his bike, the SMX championship and potentially the MXoN!

Meanwhile Chase Sexton had a huge crash while running sixth in the final moto with only a few laps left and was on the track motionless for several laps as the unfortunate American crashes out of the SMX series for the third year in a row at the final round.
KTM gave an update on Sexton saying: “The 25-year-old would unfortunately crash heavily during the latter stages of the moto, later confirming a mild concussion and a weak shoulder that he will have further evaluated this upcoming week.”
Do USA take RJ Hampshire on the 450 and put Justin Cooper back on a 250 to try and save their MXoN?
Let’s see what happens from here!
