Hungary had started to raise money to try and travel to America for this years MXoN event taking place in Ironman.
Sadly, due to the high costs, the country won’t be racing this years event – it’s especially a shame for Noel Zanocz as it would have been a great opportunity for him.
Hopefully they’ll be able to send a team to Ernee next year.
The Hungarian federation announced the news via social media:
We are disappointed to announce that, despite our efforts, due to lack of budget resources, we are unable to participate in this year’s MX of Nations competition.
We would like to express our gratitude to everyone who supported the team!
In accordance with our promise, today we will start returning the grant funds to all those who believed in our vision.
