Eli Tomac admitted to Lewis Phillips that he never thought he would still be racing at 33, and that he expected to retire at around 30 years old. But now, Eli is armed with a Red Bull KTM for the next couple of year and motivated to keep racing and winning!

Ahead of his race debut on KTM in Vancouver, Tomac told Lewis: “If you’d have talked to me when I was 27, I probably would have said no, I wouldn’t have still be racing professionally at 33.I thought 30, was at the time, maybe the mark. But as I’ve gone on it’s like trying to put a number on something and be like  this is when I’m gonna stop is really dumb. I think you should just go feel, if you still have opportunities to ride and still motivated, then (that’s) kind of why I’m still here.”

On racing WSX in the “off-season,” Eli feels it is important to help him be on his A game at A1: “There’s a massive advantage in my opinion to do going racing. Me personally, I’ve had many big misses say at Anaheim one that I wish I would have been able to put myself in a real gate drop situation outside of a practice track.”
