Eli Tomac says he is happy with his riding as he heads into what could be a pivotal round on his home Colorado turf for round three of the AMA Pro Motocross series as the hunt continues to beat Jett Lawrence for an overall win!
Tomac has shown he has the speed to run with and even beat Jett as he did in moto one at Hangtown, but a bad start and crash in moto two meant that, yet again, it was Lawerence who came out on top, leaving Lawrence 17 points ahead of Tomac heading into round three.

Tomac told Lewis Phillips he is happy with his pace outdoors: “My strength is just riding well. Like, overall, everything’s pretty good right now. I’m happy with my motorcycle, I’ve thrown up some good results. Just, last week I just…I would love that second moto back. It was a very frustrating one with basically one being like a racing incident and two being me crashing. I could only manage (afford) one of those, in my opinion, to get on the podium and having those two mistakes got me off the podium. So, overall, kind of happy with everything. Like, yeah, I’m happy with where I’m at I just need to keep going and keep executing what I’m doing.“
Tomac was then asked about 2026 but wasn’t able to give any info away amidst links with KTM and Ducati: “That’s an unknown right now. Yeah, I can’t go into any depth with that.“
With Tomac motivated and the home crowd behind him today, it could be one for the ages if we get to see Tomac v Jett head-to-head in both motos!
