2025 marks the third season of Tom Vialle racing in America, and the Frenchman has made quite the impression since making the switch. Having arrived in the U.S. with zero Supercross experience, Vialle quickly adapted and went on to win back-to-back titles in the discipline – an achievement few could have predicted when he made the leap across the Atlantic.
Looking ahead, speculation is building around his next career step. Strong rumours suggest that Vialle will return to the Grand Prix paddock in 2026, joining the factory Honda HRC team and stepping up to the 450cc class. Should the move be confirmed, it will mark his rookie season in MXGP – a huge challenge but one many believe he is ready for.
Vialle has already signed for 2026 but fans will have to wait before everything can be made official. While he could not reveal details, the Frenchman did offer a glimpse into his mindset as his American chapter edges towards its conclusion.
Vialle stated the during the Unadilla post race press conference:
“Everything is already decided but, obviously, I can’t talk about it right now. We’re getting right towards the end of my 250 career, with only a couple more races left. My goal coming to the US was to win a Supercross title once, and we were able to do it twice, so that wasn’t expected”.
“The only one that I am pretty frustrated about is the outdoor [title] – I couldn’t really put everything together these last two seasons, I kept on making some small mistakes. I was trying to push it a bit too hard, trying to follow Haiden – a couple of times I was pushing too hard and then crashed which meant I didn’t finish some motos. I finished second last year in the championship, but this year again I tried a little too hard at the beginning and crashed. We’re starting to get back to speed now, and hopefully we can fight for the SMX title.”
While his future may already be mapped out, Vialle remains determined to end his American journey on a high note The French star is focused on finishing strong during the SMX series before turning his attention to the next big chapter of his career – a highly anticipated debut in the premier MXGP class.
