Gajser on THAT Jett Lawrence pass at MXoN

Honda HRC’s Tim Gajser talks about the epic, penultimate-corner pass he made in order to win the 2024 Motocross of Nations race three. Battling with fellow Honda ride Jett Lawrence, the pair dominated the moto against the best riders in the world before treating the audience to one of the best finale’s in recent history. Hear from Gajser as he breaks down exactly what was going through his head during those final moments.

“You could see he was a little bit hesitating, go more inside or open up, (wondering) how close I am. He still went a little bit inside, but my angle was better because I was coming from the outside, so I could even more and I think I surprised him a little bit! Maybe he didn’t expect me to come so hot into the corner, but I think that was the only chance left.

I was not really riding 100% (when) Jett caught me, I was surprised. When he passed me, we raised that level and we were going 100% or maybe a little bit above. I know how well I ride. I know on a good day it is not easy to beat me, especially on a track I really like. I haven’t seen myself with that much aggression in a pass. Everyone was coming to me after saying, ‘that was aggressivem we didn’t know Tim Gajser was like that.’ That just shows how much it means to me to win that race.”
