Haiden Deegan won his first race at Anaheim on Saturday night but it wasn’t all plain sailing after he nearly threw away the win (and the best gate pick) in the heat race after he had just left Julien Beaumer on the deck.

Deegan said he didn’t feel any pressure to win, he was just sick of losing! “No pressure, just straight war mode,” said Deegan. “I am blocking out everything, I need to win. Me and Christian (Craig), we put in way too much work to be third place, that not happening, we were ready.”
On his podium interview a fired up Haiden said: “You pissed off the bull last week. Juju ran his mouth so it’s time to lock in. You don’t want to piss me off because I come out swinging. A big thanks to my team, they put a lot of work in this week. We grinded from morning until the end of the day, multiple times. We got the bike dialed… keep talking and I’ll come out swinging.”
