The most stacked field of champions maybe in history gave the final MXoN moto the perfect ingredients any motocross fan could previously only dream of. This was pretty much as good as it gets for star power and new v old generation battle – unless a full AMA/MXGP combo race happens on both sides of the pond!
And the man on this day who proved unbeatable was, Tim Gajser, who produced the pass of the year on the biggest star of the sport in the biggest race of the year to go 1-1 in the perfect antidote to losing a world title seven days before.
This was this generations Everts passing Stewart memory, the “I was there” moment that will be spoken about for generations come. And out of all the legends on the gate, it was one of the nicest guys you could meet putting the ultra aggressive move on Jett Lawrence to make history. Often unfairly overshadowed, Tim Gajser in that move, made sure no-one around the world would forget just how good the five time world champion really is!
This was his moment and this will be remembered around the world as much or even more than those five world titles. What absolutely epic clutch pass!
