Thibault Benistant got the holeshot and rode a superb race to bring home the win in the super final.
It was a French 1-2-3 with Maxime Renaux putting Benistant under pressure before the Yamaha had a crash which demoted him to fourth.
That allowed Tom Vialle to get into second with Lucas Coenen third – there wasn’t much to split all three riders at the line but what a win for Benistant which should do his confidence the world of good.
Pauls Jonass had a solid ride rounding out the top five.
Mathis Valin didn’t get the best of starts but worked his way into seventh to be the first MX2 rider over the line. Francisco Garcia was next finishing tenth in amongst the 450cc riders.
