Sacha Coenen was out front with a big lead in the MX2 qualifying race in St. Jean d’Angely after pulling away from Kay de Wolf and then havign de Wolf DNF with what looked like a gearbox issue, it could not have been going any better until Coenen with just a couple of minutes left in the race got cross-rutted and went down hard!
The tough little Belgian somehow got himself gathered up and back on the Red Bull KTM and hung on for sixth but he was holding his back and ribs as he rode, in pain and frustration, back to the pits.
