RUMOUR: Samuel Nilsson to sign MX2 GP deal with Young Motion Powered by Resa?

It was announced earlier today that young Spaniard, Samuel Nilsson will be making the switch to Triumph for the 2025 season after inking a deal with Jezyk Triumph Racing.

The deal with Jezyk Triumph Racing will see him contest the MX2 Spanish Championship but we understand the Spaniard will also contest most of the MX2 World Championship events that take place in Europe.

We understand that Nilsson has inked a deal with the Young Motion Powered by Resa team for the 2025 season which will see him race the MX2 GP’s. It is a unique deal as he’ll have two teams next year, one focusing on the Spanish championship whilst the other focuses on the MX2 GP’s. It’ll be nice to see Nilsson once again race the MX2 World Championship as injury cut his season short in 2024.

Nilsson will be hoping to remain injury free in 2025 to battle for the MX2 Spanish Championship and show his true potential in the MX2 World Championship. He’ll be hoping the move to Triumph will be exactly what was needed after many years with the KTM Group. It’ll also be cool to see another Triumph machine regularly line up in the MX2 World Championship as well as full factory riders Camden McLellan and Guillem Farres.
