Young Italian prospect, Brando Rispoli, who made the step up to the EMX250 championship this season, is strongly tipped to join the factory MRT Beta team for 2026 – a move that would mark a significant moment in his young career and another step in Beta’s growing Motocross project.

Rispoli contested his rookie EMX250 season in 2025 with the Ghidinelli KTM team, gaining valuable experience as he adapted to the more demanding class. Now, it appears he’s set for a fresh challenge, and one that could help unlock even more of his potential as he’ll become a factory rider for the 2026 season.

Beta are expanding their Motocross structure to include the EMX250 series in their plans for the 2026 season. The team has already confirmed Alexis Fueri as one of their EMX250 riders and Rispoli is expected to complete the EMX250 line-up. The move would place Rispoli alongside a more experienced teammate and under a growing factory setup that will run two-stroke machinery in the EMX250 class.

If the deal is finalised, MRT Beta will field four riders under their awning next season, covering both MXGP and EMX250. That means Rispoli would also benefit from being part of a high-level environment, sharing space with MXGP factory riders Jago Geerts and Rick Elzinga, both of whom bring an enormous amount of knowledge, professionalism and experience. For a rider entering just his second year in EMX250, that kind of exposure could prove priceless.

Rispoli burst onto the European scene by winning the EMX65 championship in 2018, and ever since, he’s been marked as one to watch. During his second year in the EMX250 category he’ll be hoping the switch to Beta will see him run at the sharp end of the category.

From Beta’s perspective, entering the EMX250 championship is a strategic move. The brand is expected to contest the MX2 World Championship in the future and running a competitive EMX250 team is a logical next step toward that goal. Their commitment to racing two-strokes at this level also adds a refreshing dynamic to the class and gives riders like Rispoli a unique opportunity to stand out.

While nothing has been officially announced just yet, all signs point toward Rispoli joining the MRT Beta fold for 2026.
