Since joining the MXGP paddock back in 2021, Beta have steadily built their presence at the top level of motocross, focusing solely on the MXGP World Championship. For 2026, the Italian manufacturer looks to have assembled one of its strongest line-ups yet, with Jago Geerts and Rick Elzinga set to pilot the factory MRT Beta machines in the premier class.

However, it appears the team’s ambitions could soon extend beyond MXGP. We understand that Beta are preparing to expand their structure for the 2026 season by adding an EMX250 program under the MRT Beta awning.

According to our information, young French talent Alexis Fueri is expected to compete aboard an official Beta two-stroke in the EMX250 championship. This would mark Beta’s first official entry into the EMX250 class and another significant step in the brand’s growing involvement across the motocross pyramid.

Not only will Fueri earn a ride with Beta but it’s also thought that he has decided to hire Jacky Vimond as his coach which could prove to be a good move. Vimond is known for getting the best out of young talent.

We recently reported that TM will also have official EMX250 representation next season, albeit now the plans are just with a single rider. It’s encouraging to see more manufacturers supporting the EMX structure, which continues to serve as an important stepping stone for riders on their way to MX2 and MXGP.

At this stage, it remains unclear whether Fueri will be Beta’s sole EMX250 rider or if the team plans to add a second entry. Looking ahead, fans will be hoping that Beta’s development continues toward producing a 250cc four-stroke machine capable of competing in the MX2 World Championship in the near future.

As always, we’ll keep you updated with the latest developments as the 2026 paddock continues to take shape.
