Revealed: Team Hungary planning to contest 2025 Ironman MXoN

For the first time in history Hungary are putting plans in place to contest a Motocross des Nations event which takes place outside of Europe. This year the event is taking place in America again and Hungary are intending to send three riders to the event.

It depends on funding but work is being done behind the scenes to see Hungary attend this years event. The riders for the event have even been selected so providing they do go – the riders will be as follows:

MXGP: Mark Szoke
MX2: Noel Zanocz
OPEN: Kristof Jakob

Noel Zanocz is in an EMX250 championship battle despite being a rookie in the class and there’s no doubt he’s one of the best upcoming young talents in the world. It would be great for the JM Honda rider to gain the experience of a Motocross des Nations event.

Sadly, Aron Katona and Bence Pergel are both recovering from shoulder injuries hench why they haven’t been picked because that would have been a very strong trio.

The federation posted the following update below:

The battle of the nations will take place in Crawfordsville from October 3–5, 2025. As in previous years, the Motocross Division considers it a key priority to delegate a team to this prestigious event. This year is no different, although we are facing numerous obstacles. The long distance certainly doesn’t make things any easier.

Despite all this, we are pleased to announce that the team has been assembled, and preparations and organisation are in full swing.

Our financial resources are limited, so we kindly ask for your support to help the team participate and represent our country.

Every forint counts — even the smallest contribution is sincerely appreciated!
