Romain Febvre took the win in Sugo from HRC Honda’s Valerio Lata as the MXGP men showed their Japanese bosses why they get the big bucks!

Febvre went 1-1 on the Kawasaki with Lata 2-2 on the Honda as the young Italian underlines his all round ability on both the 250 and now the 450 machine – keep an eye on the smooth Italian in 2026. Aussie Jay Wilson crashed out and didn’t get to battle the GP men.

Febvre said: “1st overall with 1-1 in Japan championship in Sugo! Track was challenging with a lot of ruts and a lot of grip but made the best of it. Riding was good and had some fun! Now time to get back home and do something else than riding.”

Former MX2 factory Suzuki rider Brian Hsu won the opening MX2 moto and took second in moto two to win the overall.
