Haiden Deegan took the win leading from start to finish in an impressive ride in the sand, as Tom Vialle, starting fifth, let Deegan get too far away in the opening laps as he worked his way into second.
Max Anstie’s had a nightmare moto with a DNF due to a mechanical early in the race – he now has outside gate pick for moto two.
Deegan said: “I’ve a lot of confidence. People doubt me, I don’t doubt myself.”
Moto two was epic! Deegan blitzed into the lead passed Kitchen then went down while leading with Vialle on him then, Deegan and Shimoda caught Vialle and with backmarkers in the way and three laps to go, Shimoda took the lead! Vialle responded to go all out further win and the overall with Deegan doing all he could to pass Vialle when, like last time out, Vialle went down and lost another chance of a win with Deegan going 1-2 for the overall!

Deegan said: “I look past those doubts. I’m a motivated person, and I grind my butt off. I saw Vialle lost half a second, I thought I’m sending it, balls to the walls! I was lining the pass up, and he slid out. I think I proved you guys wrong with the sand theory!”
