Aaron Plessinger took the lead after the carnage but Lawrence got back in the groove and back into the lead before, once again, finding himself having to hold Sexton off with a few laps to go for the win, until Sexton tucked the front end and went down, allowing Lawrence some breathing room with Sexton still able to take second. Eli Tomac took fourth in a solid moto behind Plessinger who was third.
Hunter Lawrence took the first moto win despite getting jumped into in mid-air by Justin Cooper on the first lap!
“It’s fun to ride, I love riding it, said Hunter on the 2025 Honda before commenting on the collision with Cooper, “It was a chaotic start, I hope Justin is okay, an unfortunate racing incident.”

It was a another Sexton v Lawrence battle but this time it was Sexton who got the win and that was after a crash that seemed to flip the speed switch! Sexton had just moved into second when he lost the front again but, from there and now six seconds back, Sexton put on the after burners.

The KTM man passes Stewart, then Plessinger before reeling in Lawrence and making a superb pass for the win with superb roll speed that no-one else could match. Sexton has that level and produced again when he needed it.

Justin Cooper got a very strong Malcolm Stewart on thr last lap for fourth. Eli Tomac had a terrible start and finished 11th.
