Race One: Tom Vialle took the race win in a remarkable race that saw the top two in the championship Lucas Coenen, on lap one, and Jeffrey Herlings a few laps later while running second with Vialle in his sights, both DNFing due to a derailed chains in the deeps ruts! Adamo later had the same thing happen to him!
Coenen got outside assistance to get the chain on but was then disqualified for outside assistance. However, he kept riding and got to 11th…but will still not score any points. Vialle now leads the championship after moto one!

Race Two: Lucas Coenen took the holeshot and cleared off to a dominant win to regain the championship lead, with even Jeffrey Herlings who gated second unable to do anything to stay with the Belgian. Herlings didn’t have his usual flow but was holding off Gajser for second until a couple of minutes to go when Herlings went down handing Gajser second. Herlings took third just about holding off de Wolf for third.
But the GP winner was Tom Vialle who came from 20th to 6th and even had a crash in tough moto but Vialle showed his determination to come through and still secure his first MXGP win.
Vialle said: “I had no idea I won the GP, I pushed all moto, we worked all winter for that. I am happy to make it happen.”
