Race One: Jeremy Seewer grabbed the holeshot on his Factory Kawasaki machine but the big three championship contenders were right there behind him. It didn’t take them to long to make a move on Seewer but by the time Gajser got around him he had a bit of a gap to make up to Herlings and Prado who was leading.

Herlings put Prado under quite a lot of pressure before making a move and pulling away at the front for another moto win. Gajser couldn’t cut the gap down to Prado for second so that was how it finished.

Vlaanderen and Febvre both had bad starts but came through to fifth and sixth respectively ahead of the impressive Benoit Paturel in seventh.

Race Two: Prado and Gajser were leading the pack on lap one of an exciting MXGP race but the story of the moto was Herlings! He tagged another rider just after the waves on lap one but came form last to twelfth in just five minutes – but then he tagged Bonacorsi when making a move on the Italian which dropped him further back.

But Herlings kept charging and watching him make passes left, right and centre was superb! He ended up getting back all the way to fourth just coming up short and not be able to pass Vlaanderen on the final lap.

At the front, Gajser and Prado were at it with the Slovenian putting in an aggressive pass – shoulders touched! It meant Gajser ended up with an impressive overall win – his first MXGP overall win at Loket believe it not not!
