Race One: Jeffrey Herlings dominated the opening moto to win by ten seconds from Jorge Prado and Tim Gajser in third.
Race Two: Jeffrey Herlings was inching away from Tim Gajser and Jorge Prado ten minutes in when he went down and cost himself the overall win! Prado (who went off track on lap one chasing Herlings) and Gajser then went at it with Prado brake-checking the Slovenian and Gajser running into the back wheel and went down! This gave Herlings the urgency to push into second and then Gajser fell again chasing Herlings finishing 6th.
Herlings tried to chase down Prado but their pace was too similar and Prado won the GP on a tie-break as Calvin Vlaanderen took third overall and a podium for factory Yamaha.
Prado said: “My goal is to win every GP. We start the second half of the GP on a good note. It was tough (heat).”
