Race One: The track is brutal and the first moto was a great race! Sacha Coenen was leading the way and giving it all out in front as Kay de Wolf wasn’t too far away. With about five minutes to go he really started to apply the pressure and then made a decisive pass. Coenen a lap later had another big crash!

Meanwhile, McLellan was on fire – he was riding with a great flow and got the gap down to de Wolf to less than two seconds but the Dutch rider held on for the win.

Simon Langenfelder had a terrible start but made some quick passes and ended up third but he has the pace to challenge for the win.

Andrea Adamo was very solid in fourth considering the conditions as Coenen picked it up ahead of Everts to round out the top five.

Race Two: The second moto was even better – what a race that was! It was Adamo leading the way on lap one but de Wolf made a few quick passes to get into second. The reigning champion then passed Adamo to get into the lead. But then he crashed and all of a sudden Adamo was in the lead.

De Wolf had just over seven seconds of a gap to make up – but he give it everything he had. He was able to catch and on the final lap he made a move. But Adamo will be happy as these aren’t his conditions – roll on next week!

McLellan didn’t get a good start but worked his way up to third for second overall – a superb day for Triumph! Coenen was last around the first corner but showed at times some remarkable speed to finish in a strong fourth!

Everts improved in race two for fifth but Langenfelder could only manage sixth after a bad start.
