Race One: It was Swiss talent, Ryan Oppliger who was leading the way on the first lap and looking strong at the front considering he’s a rookie. He had Mano Faure and Niccolo Alvisi for company – the Italian had worked his way into the lead before a crash.

Aron Katona didn’t have the best of starts but got himself into the lead and then never looked back. The Hungarian continues to go from strength to strength – very impressive. Alvisi was able to get back to second in a Racestore KTM 1-2.  Faure had to be content with third in a solid ride.

Despite a crash McCullough had got himself back to fourth and was riding really well – a backmarker got in his way on the final corner and Dani Heitink made a pass around the outside to get fourth. Heitink was outside the top twenty on the first lap so rode well but needs to improve his starts.

Francesco Bellei also had a bad start but worked his way up to sixth in a good recovery ride. Nicky Mannini was in around the top five before he got took out and then had a damaged bike so ended up fifteenth.

Race Two: It was a superb race with a lot of the heavy hitters getting bad starts but Katona – if you don’t know, get to know. He was outside the top twenty five and quickly sliced his way through the pack riding with so much speed and flow. He caught the leader with seven minutes to go and once he made the move never looked back. That was special.

Kubulins briefly led after passing Townley for the lead and can be happy with his second. McCullough finished third which was enough for a podium – his first EMX podium – fantastic!

Alvisi was dead last on lap one and had a storming ride through the field – he passed Bellei on the last lap for fourth to take second overall.
