Race one: Mano Faure won his first ever EMX125 moto but did it the hard way in front of his home crowd. Faure had built an eight second lead but then went down and dropped to third giving Mannini and Mantovani a shot at the win and, with four laps to go all three were nose to tail and going for it on a slick track after a heavy rain shower.
But Faure showed his class to pass both riders and pull away again to take an impressive win – another big French talent is coming through!
Race Two: It was Katona who was on fire after some overnight rain making conditions tricky but the Hungarian took a dominate race win. It was enough for him to stand on the podium with a third overall but it was Faure who took the overall.
Faure was riding in second keeping Katona honest but then had a crash dropping him to fourth which is where he finished to secure the overall win in front of his home crowd.
Mannini rode well to finish third and secure second overall – he has the red plate! McCullough spent the majority of the race without goggles and came home in twelfth.
