Race results: AMA Supercross RD9 – Indianapolis – Lawrence on top!

Moto one: Ken Roczen passed Jorge Prado then Cooper Webb for the lead to run away with the win as Tomac passed Lawrence as they made their way into the to three before Lawrence got him back amongst backmarker to take second.

IMoto two: Justin Cooper took the win after a crazy main event that saw Plessinger land on Roczen on lap one, Tomac almost land on Friese and Hunter Lawrence land into the back of Cole Thompson launching him into the netting with Lawrence also dropping from third to fourth. Roczen got back to tenth.

Moto three: Hunter Lawrence and Eli Tomac gated 1-2 and it was Lawrence who stayed out front, even pulling away halfway through for a decisive win with Roczen coming from just inside the top ten to third leaving him to wonder what could have been without the race two crash. Webb took fourth with Cooper fifth and Prado sixth again.

Lawrence leads Tomac by four points in the championship in what now appears to be a two horse race. Webb is now 25 back with Roczen 28 back after that costly crash.

Moto one: Cole Davies passed Shimoda and Bennick to take the moto win witn Shimoda second and Hammaker third. Pierce Brown made a mistake early and came from last to tenth.

Moto two: Cole Davies took the win after a battle with Jo Shimoda early with Pierce Brown third and Seth Hammaker ninth, after a crash then landing on Gavin Towers who needed medical attention as Hammaker stayed on.

Moto three: Cole Davies went from fifth to first quickly and impressively to sweep the night at Indy and show why he is one of the most talented supercross riders in the world. Hammaker came from a rough first lap when he wss wheel with Davies to eventually take second on the last lap over Shimoda.

Davies now leads the points by 1 point over Hammaker with Brown and Shimoda just 2 back.
