Race results: AMA Supercross RD12 – St. Louis – Roczen wins again!


Ken Roczen passed Jorge Prado and Hunter Lawrence quickly to check out in a dominant win on a treacherous track that vaulted Roczen even closer to the championship lead and the man on form!

Jorge Prado ran second for a long time but Justin Cooper and Hunter Lawrence eventually made their way by with Prado fourth and Webb fifth. Eli Tomac finished a distant sixth and Roczen is now just five points of the championship lead held by Hunter and Tomac with Hunter admitting he was riding with a sore wrist from his crash at Detroit.

Roczen said: “All I can say is dirt bikes are gnarly. I can’t believe it. It was a brutal main, even once you have a gap you don’t want to make a mistake. I cannot believe a pulled off a double win. Never stop believing.”

Haiden Deegan started fifth but caught and passed race leader, Cole Davies, and ran away for a dominant win to clinch the 250 West title with two rounds to go. Deegan put a beat down on the rest of the field to underline that he is ready for a 450, indoors and outdoors!

Cole Davies played it smart to take second to increase his championship lead by two more points to 11 with Hammaker third.

Deegan said: “I’m so grateful for my 250 career. As a kid I wanted to win one championship, this is number 6. I ain’t done yet, we are coming into thr 450 class swinging.”
