Eli Tomac took top spot in Q1 at Glendale but only four tenths covered the top four! In the 250 class it was Deegan quickest, but he was just three hundredths quicker than Ryder DiFrancesco in their first session.
Deegan’s bike subsequently failed sound after Q1 so he lost his fastest lap putting Ryder DiFrancesco quickest.
In Q2 Jorge Prado went QUICKEST just one hundredth of a second over Eli Tomac with Ken Roczen third – the four time world champ is learning quick!
Prado said: “I really didn’t expect this so early in the season. Hopefully we can bring the speed to the main event.”
In 250 Q2 Deegan pulled out the fastest time on his last lap saying he didnt want the other guys to think they had a chance!
