Ken Roczen went quickest from the returning Chase Sexton in Q1 with Justin Cooper, Justin Hill and Jorge Prado rounding out the top five.
Eli Tomac was back in seventh with Hunter Lawrence eighth after crashing over a berm and into the Steve Matthes nets!
But Lawrence rebounded in Q2 to go quickest just ahead of Roczen with one second covering the top 11 but Eli Tomac was back in ninth. But then sound check mixed things up with Sexton losing his fastest lap. Lawrence losing his fastest lap for stopping at sector 4 and Friese losing his fastest lap for jumping on a red cross!
In the 250 East class, Cole Davies topped the Times with a late lap that bumped Hammaker down to second. It was Davies who stayed on top for Q2 over Hammaker with 16 year old Dudney flying in fourth just behind the impressive Devon Simonson in third.
But then things changed, with Davies losing his fastest lap due to his bike failing the sound test giving Hammaker top spot with Davies dropping to second. Shimoda also lost his best lap and it dropped him back to 12th having originally been fourth.
