Justin Cooper put in the fastest lap in the first 450cc qualifying session on his Star Yamaha – he’s great in qualifying! He was only a tenth of a faster than Jett Lawrence with Jorge Prado third – also only a tenth off the pace.
Hunter Lawrence was fourth with Eli Tomac rounding out the top five. Cornelius Tøndel was fastest in group B and his time put him third overall – he did go out in the first session though.
The best times didn’t change on a rougher track in Q2 but Jorge Prado was quickest and 2.5 seconds quicker over Justin Cooper who was second in that session…is the real Jorge Prado back?
In the 250cc class, Haiden Deegan put in an impressive lap. He was two seconds faster than Tom Vialle with Michael Mosiman third quickest. Seth Hammaker was fourth fastest and the quickest Kawasaki rider.
Mikkel Haarup put in a strong lap for fifth on his Triumph machine. Again, the best times in tje 250 class all came from Q1.
