Eli Tomac and Chance Hymas set the pace early in Q1 at Thunder Valley but Jorge Prado was back in 27th! Tomac was 1.5 seconds ahead of Jett Lawrence and Hymas a second ahead of Deegan!
A much drier track in Q2 brought the important lap times and it was Justin Cooper who went quickest on the rutted track over Aaron Plessinger, Eli Tomac and Jett Lawrence. Jorge Prado was 41st with five minutes to go but got his time in eventually to go 11th, behind Brad Todd of the UK who put his time in from group B to get a prime start gate for the motos!
In the 250 class Chance Hymas was quickest over Haiden Deegan with Mikkel Haarup eighth and Tom Vialle 13th.
