Tim Gajser got the holeshot on his HRC Honda but Jeffrey Herlings took a good start and was actually looking good during the first couple of laps – something that has been letting him down this season.
He was close to Gajser and the Slovenian had a couple of bad laps which allowed Herlings to move into the lead.
The man on the move was Jorge Prado as after passing Jeremy Seewer he pushed hard to catch the leading duo. The Spaniard was able to capitalize on Gajser’s bad couple of laps and moved into second. It looked like he might even catch Herlings but the KTM man responded. Gajser then started to stick with Prado so all three will feel like they have the pace to win tomorrow.
