Qualifying race results: MX2 World Championship RD14 – Loket

MX2 Qualifying: Mathis Valin took the first MX2 race win of his career as he dominated the qualifying race at a very muddy Loket on the factory Kawasaki to take a very impressive victory. Kay de Wolf took second in a superb ride after chosing the outside gate but not getting the jump he needed, leaving him just inside the top 30 around turn one.

From there de Wolf showed why he is world champ, putting himself in the top ten and passing Längenfelder by the end of lap on. De Wolf was into fifth by lap two where he remained for most of the moto but he upped the pace at the end, passing Benistant on the penultimate lap for fourth and then passing rival Adamo for third in a key ride in the championship as Valerio Lata took a strong second to show the next generation is coming.
