Jorge Prado is still struggling to show his true potential on the Kawasaki, dropping back to 12th in moto one at Millville after starting fourth leaving many scratching their heads.
Race two was an improvement with fifth but this is not the same Jorge Prado that was winning MXGP with Valentin Guillod catching and passing Prado in race one and fishing just behind the MXGP world champ in race two.
Prado said: “Today’s results weren’t what I was hoping for. I was able to put a fast lap down in qualifying and give myself a good gate pick with that. In the first moto, I got a good start, but the track was very rough and my setup was a bit off for the conditions and the downhill section. We went back and made some changes to the bike for Moto 2, which felt much better for me. I was more pleased with how that race went, but I started to tighten up towards the end. We still have more work to do this week, but look forward to continuing to make progress.”
