The Netherlands will line up with a powerhouse team behind the start gate at the Motocross of Nations (MXoN): Glenn Coldenhoff, Kay de Wolf, and Calvin Vlaanderen will defend the orange pride at the beginning of October in the United States.
The MXoN is the annual world championship for national teams. The three riders each compete in their own class, aiming for the overall title together. For this highlight of the MX season, Coldenhoff will race in MXGP, De Wolf in MX2, and Vlaanderen in the Open class.
Glenn Coldenhoff: “I’m very proud to represent our country in TeamNL for the thirteenth time at the Motocross of Nations in America this year. Every time it feels special, and the fire and motivation are still just as strong. I’m really looking forward to it!”
Kay de Wolf: “It’s super nice to be part of TeamNL again – for me, this is now the fourth year. It’s always amazing to represent the Netherlands. I’m really excited, and we’re going for a great result together!”
Calvin Vlaanderen: “I’m extremely happy and proud to have been chosen to represent TeamNL at the Motocross of Nations. With my current form, I’m determined to deliver a strong performance and make our fans proud, together with Glenn and Kay. I can’t wait to be there!”
Barry Forschelen (KNMV national coach):
“The Netherlands has a lot of talent, with several leading professionals at the top of the world rankings; we are truly a motocross country. TeamNL reflects that.
The selection each year is a bit of a puzzle, depending on many factors. I’m very happy with these riders, who have been impressing all season in their World Championships. We’re going for the podium in the USA!”
The 2025 Motocross of Nations will take place on 4–5 October at Iron Raceway in Crawfordsville, Indiana. It will be the first time the event is held there.
Before then, the riders still have several Grand Prix rounds in the regular MXGP World Championship on the calendar – with MXGP Arnhem coming up next weekend! 🔥
