The Seven Motorsport team have officially confirmed a big change for the 2026 season as they’ll switch from Husqvarna to TM machinery. The move marks a new chapter for the team as they look to continue progressing in the European Motocross scene.
Alongside the manufacturer switch, the team have decided to include both an EMX250 and an EMX125 rider for the upcoming season.
Young Belgian talent Douwe van Mechgelen has signed with the team and will step up to the EMX250 class, in what will be his rookie season in the category after previously competing on a Fantic. With his strong physical build, the move to the 250cc bike should suit him well as he looks to adapt quickly and make an impression in his rookie year.
Joining him under the Seven Motorsport awning will be a young Italian rider who will race the EMX125 series and be confirmed tomorrow.
With new bikes, fresh motivation, and a promising young line-up, 2026 looks set to be an exciting season for the Seven Motorsport team as they begin their partnership with TM.
“It’s official! For the 2026-2027 seasons, Seven Motorsport will be the TM Factory Racing Team in EMX250 and EMX125. We are proud and excited to start this new journey together with TM Moto Offiical, ready to give our best on every track and support the growth of young talents”, the team shared on social media.
“We are proud to announce that Douwe van Mechgelen will be racing wearing the colors of the TM Seven Motorsport Factory Support Team for the 2026 season. Douwe will compete in the EMX250 Championship and will also take part in the Italian Prestige MX2 Championship, as well as selected rounds of the MX2 World Championship, the Dutch Masters, and the ADAC Masters. This collaboration promises to be strong and full of potential, and we are confident it represents an important step forward for both parties, with the shared goal of achieving ambitious results together. Tomorrow we will unveil the next rider joining our team”, the team shared.
Douwe van Mechgelen:
“I’m excited to say I’ll be racing the EMX250 series with Seven Motorsport and Factory TM next season. After testing the bike, I was really surprised by the handling and felt comfortable right away. I believe in the program and there’s a great group of people around me fully focused on helping me perform. I’m ready to put in a good winter and I can’t wait for the season to start”.
