Young Dutch rider, Scott Smulders, is set for an exciting new chapter in his career as he has officially signed with SixtySeven Racing for the 2026 season which will see him race Husqvarna machinery. After spending 2025 aboard Triumph machinery and competing in selected MX2 World Championship rounds, the move will now see him take on a more complete campaign.
The talented Dutchman will line up for the German-based outfit across two major series next year – the MX2 World Championship and the ADAC Youngsters Cup.
For Smulders, it represents another important step in his progression as he looks to establish himself at the sharp end of international competition.
Confirming the news on social media, Smulders expressed his excitement about the deal:
“I am super happy to announce that I will be riding for SixtySeven Racing team in the MX2 World Championship and ADAC Youngster Cup in 2026. Thanks to everyone who made this possible.”
The team are equally enthusiastic about their new signing, describing Smulders as the ideal fit for their 2026 plans:
“We are delighted to officially welcome Scott Smulders as a new rider to the SixtySeven Racing team. With his experience, ambition and passion he will be the perfect addition to our team. We look forward to a successful season full of exciting challenges and sporting highlights.”
With increased opportunities on the world stage and the backing of a motivated team, 2026 is shaping up to be a pivotal year for Smulders as he aims to showcase his potential both in the ADAC series and against the best riders in MX2.
