Young Spanish talent Salvador Perez has secured his plans for the 2026 season, confirming a deal with the Yamaha 115 M78 Racing team that will see him continue racing in Europe alongside his Brazilian commitments.
It was recently announced that Perez has signed with Yamaha Brazil to contest the full Brazilian Motocross Championship, but the good news for European fans is that he will still line up on this side of the Atlantic whenever his schedule allows.
Perez has joined the newly formed Yamaha 115 M78 Racing team, a fresh addition to the paddock for the 2026 season. The Spaniard will be working under the watchful eye of former world champion Carlos Campano and will share the team awning with Bernardo Tibúrcio as the squad begins its first year of competition in the GP paddock.
The plan for Perez is to contest selected rounds of the EMX250 Championship as well as the Spanish Motocross Championship, depending on calendar availability alongside his Brazilian programme.
The team confirmed the news via social media, expressing their excitement at welcoming Perez into the Yamaha 115 M78 project as they build their sporting structure for the upcoming season:
