It has been confirmed that young Italian talent, Nicky Mannini has made the switch to Triumph after recently parting ways with Italian based team, Maddii Honda Racing.
“The decision wasn’t a difficult one in my mind but hard because I was set to race the EMX250 series. The situation was very hard for me… Now I am here with Triumph my goal is to race EMX250 but I don’t have much budget so I don’t know how many races I will do (hope to find some sponsor budget and race as much as I can) I don’t know much about my future – I will do also the Italian championship. After that I don’t know for the rest”, Mannini told GateDrop.com.
“The bike is good, we have done some tests. I really like the frame and the engine is also quite good. Right now I am training along with my Dad and my trainer. So far I only have five hours on it but I enjoy it on the new bike – we will see what happens. We go day by day and see if we can do any more EMX250 races”, concluded Mannini.
The team announced the news via the following press release:
Fly Over Racing is pleased to announce the arrival at our facility of Niccolò Mannini, a Tuscan rider born in 2008.
This will be made possible above all thanks to the support of the MDMOTO Triumph dealership in Perugia which will supplied the bikes that Mannini raced at the first round of the Italian Pro Prestige Championship in Ottobiano (PV).
Fly Over will provide logistical support and will be responsible for getting Mannini on track in the best possible conditions with his Triumph 250 4T. His racing program includes participation in the full Italian Pro Prestige Championship and several rounds of the European EMX250 Championship.
We welcome Niccolò and hope we can achieve many sporting successes together.
