Young Italian talent, Nicky Mannini has had his plans revealed for the 2025 season. After missing most of the 2024 EMX125 championship due to injury, Mannini will be keen to impress next year.
This year, Mannini was with the Insubria Yamaha team and he’ll be staying blue for 2025 but swapping his Yamaha machinery for a TM as he has inked a deal with the TM Moto Steels Dr Jack Racing team managed by Massimiliano Costantini.
The team had Brando Rispoli under the awning this year and he showed what the TM could do posting some good results and finishing tenth in the EMX125 championship despite missing some rounds due to injury.
The team have now decided to snap up the talented Mannini for the 2025 season who has bags of talent and will be looking to avoid injury to fulfil his true potential in the EMX125 class. As well as the EMX125 season, Mannini will race the International Italian Championship as well as the Italian 125cc series once it gets underway.
The TM Moto Steels Dr Jack Racing team will also sign up a rider to contest the MX2 World Championship in 2025 who will be announced in due course.
“We already had contact with TM and after my return from injury I did good things. After the last EMX125 race in Spain we started to talk more concretely. I am truly very excited and honored to join the TM moto family and to race with a completely Italian bike, all made in Italy. I hope to bring the Italian flag very high”, Mannini told GateDrop.com.
“The 2025 goal is to do 110% and stay in the front group. Me and TM moto will work hard to make this happen. We have the same dream. I will soon get on the new TM mx 125cc to start testing. I have many people who work with me and I want to say thanks TO all especially: The Alix power team that is always with me (Alice Filippini, Cristiano Rivoltini, Vittorio Villani and all the others); my coach Alessandro Pagliacci and the suspension guy Daniele Salucci”, concluded Mannini.
The team posted the following statement:
“TM Moto Steels Dr Jack has chosen the rider who will bring the brand new TM MX 125, it will be the young Tuscan, Niccolò Mannini. Niccolò, class 2008, is reduced by a very positive end of the season considering that he was coming back after an injury that kept him out of the races for a long time. Surely we are talking about one of the most interesting perspectives both at a national and European level. Niccolò was Italian champion in Senior 85 three years ago and for two years he has gone up the category to race in 125 showing all his talent”.
“With him, who has signed a two-year contract, we will face Internazionali d’Italia MX, Europeo EMX125, Italiano Junior and Rookies Cup. Enthusiasm and desire to do well from both parties will be the basic basis for starting again for winter tests and preparation in a few weeks. We will try together to achieve the best possible results,
