Norwegian talent Cornelius Tøndel is set for a major career shift in 2026 after signing with the International Supercross Race Team. The move comes shortly after his departure from the JWR Honda squad, where he spent the 2025 season focusing on the MXGP World Championship.

Tøndel had the chance to experience American racing this year, competing in a few rounds of the AMA Pro Motocross series with JWR Honda. He impressed with his raw speed and adaptability, and those performances have now opened the door for a full-time switch to the United States.

For 2026, Tøndel will line up in both Supercross and AMA Pro Motocross under the International Supercross Race Team banner. The transition will also see him move to Kawasaki machinery, with plans to contest Supercross aboard a 450cc bike. It’s a significant change in discipline and environment, but one the Norwegian rider is embracing with enthusiasm.

After years spent developing in Europe, this next chapter presents a huge opportunity for Tøndel as he takes on the unique challenge of American Supercross while aiming to establish himself on the U.S. outdoor scene.
