Official: A new team enters EMX250 for 2026 – Be Tiburcio signs

A new and ambitious project will join the MXGP paddock in 2026, with the newly formed Yamaha 115 M78 team confirming its entry into the EMX250 Championship for the upcoming season.

The team is led by former Grand Prix rider Carlos Campano, who is heavily involved in shaping the structure and direction of the project. Drawing on his own racing experience at the highest level, Campano has elected to place his trust in emerging Brazilian talent, signing Be Tiburcio for what will be the rider’s first full season of racing in Europe.

Tiburcio arrives in Europe off the back of an impressive season in Brazil, where he secured the MX2 Brazilian Championship and established himself as one of the country’s most promising young motocross riders. His strong domestic form also earned him a place on the Brazilian team for the Motocross of Nations at Ironman, where he gained valuable experience competing against the world’s elite on one of the sport’s biggest stages.

For 2026, Tiburcio has made a significant and bold career decision, choosing to leave Honda machinery behind in favour of Yamaha as he prepares to tackle European competition for the first time. The move underlines both the rider’s ambition and the confidence of the Yamaha 115 M78 team as they embark on their debut season in the EMX250 Championship.

In addition to his EMX250 campaign, Tiburcio will also contest the MX2 Spanish Championship, providing him with extra race time and valuable experience as he adapts to new tracks, different race formats and the demanding European calendar. Balancing both championships will give the Brazilian a busy schedule but also an important opportunity to accelerate his development during his first year overseas.

With experienced leadership behind the scenes and a motivated young rider at the centre of the project, the Yamaha 115 M78 team enters the EMX250 paddock with clear ambition. The 2026 season will mark the beginning of a new chapter for both the team and Be Tiburcio as they look to establish themselves on the European motocross scene.

The Yamaha 115 M78 team confirmed the news on social media:

“The new Yamaha Racing Brazil team in Europe is backed by a partnership with Carlos Campano, a world champion and five-time Brazilian champion, and Alan Douglas, manager of Missao 78, who is coordinating this project along the same lines as the R-Series he oversees in road racing. Be Tiburcio is the rider, a promising Brazilian talent who is set to compete in the European Motocross Championship and the Spanish Motocross Championship. Go Blu”.
