The 2025 FIM Motocross World Championships will make their return from the brief summer break to travel to the northern-most point of this year’s calendar, at a brand-new venue for the MXGP of Finland, presenting a full-on Nordic sandy challenge to the MXGP elite!
MXGP World Championship leader Romain Febvre emerged victorious from the last GP held in this country, back in 2023, and he is in strong form after his win at the most recent round in the UK, but hungry class newcomer Lucas Coenen is strong in the sand and seriously hunting for a win to break his five-GP streak of second place finishes! Sand lover Glenn Coldenhoff is third in the series and eager to take the first ever GP win for the Fantic brand to cement his claim for a medal!
The MX2 class has seen many shifts of momentum in 2025, and although leader Simon Längenfelder holds a strong advantage after a perfect weekend in England, chaser Andrea Adamo won in Finland in 2023, and reigning Champ Kay de Wolf is very much at home in the soft stuff as he tries to re-ignite his title defence! This could result in a major showdown in the north!
