MXGP Live timing – China

SHANGHAI (China) 11 September 2025 – The 2025 FIM Motocross World Championships reaches its penultimate roud this weekend, and we head to the far east as the Shanghai International Off-Road Circuit hosts round 19, the Oriental Beauty Valley MXGP of China!

The MXGP World Championship is still a fascinating contest between French veteran Romain Febvre and teenage tearaway Lucas Coenen, and as both riders won at least one race here last year, it could be anybody’s day again as the Shangai circuit gets a complete revamp and change of layout for the 2025 edition!

2019 Chinese GP winner Jeffrey Herlings is on a two-GP winning streak and could be the fly in the soup for the title contenders, and Tim Gajser is also hungry for his first podium since returning from injury.

The MX2 title battle is enthralling, as German Simon Längenfelder and Dutch reigning Champ Kay de Wolf have won the last seven GPs between them, with neither able to take back-to-back victories all year!  Will that trend continue, or will the red plate holder now take control? With 12 points between them it should go all the way to the wire!
