Race One: A good start was required and the Ducati’s were both fast out of the gate with Lupino leading and Cairoli right behind him in brutal conditions, ruts galore and mud everywhere. Croci had worked his way into second but then ran into problems and Lupino got held up. Cairoli then got to the front and won in a Ducati 1-2. The bike can certainly handle tough conditions. Tropepe was third nearly a minute behind Cairoli. Forato was sixth after an early crash when he was in the top three.

Race Two: On a drier track from race one, the Ducati’s were fast out of the gate yet again and started to pull away at the front of the pack. Lupino took the holeshot and had the early race lead before Cairoli got himself to the front.

Cairoli then had a crash which promoted Lupino to the front again but Cairoli didn’t give up and put a lot of pressure on his team mate and friend – he still wants to win! But Lupino rode really well to take home the race win and overall with it in what was a great day for Ducati. Tropepe rode well for third with Jan Pancar fourth. Lupino is back to the top of the championship standings as Gifting had a difficult day in brutal conditions to slip back to third.
