It hasn’t taken Kay de Wolf long to get used to the 450cc machine as he won the opening moto from Jeffrey Herlings and the pace was hot at the front. Brent van Doninck who is good in sand himself was third but nearly fifty seconds behind de Wolf. Jago Geerts ended up fourth.
In the second moto, Herlings was ahead of de Wolf on the first lap and quickly got himself to the front to take the win and with that the overall. De Wolf was only less than six seconds back so it was a productive race for the Dutch talent. Jago Geerts had a solid ride for third ahead of Van Doninck.
It was nice to see Jake Sheridan race and finish nineteenth overall.
