Mikkel Haarup was having another good moto inside the top ten in moto one at Unadilla when he collided with another rider, crashing hard and breaking his collarbone, ending his outdoor season.

Haarup, who is still sitting sixth in points with on round to go, said: “My day ended quite quickly. I had a good qualification and a decent start in moto one. I was just starting to flow when I connected with another rider – that caused me to fall and I suffered a collarbone injury. I hope to start the recovery process as soon as possible so I can be back on the bike!”

The Danish speedster is being heavily linked with staying in the US next year, potentially as the 450 rider for Triumph outdoors, let’s see what happens from here, but Haarup certainly showed America his speed this season.
