Micha Boy De Waal was racing at Lierop at the weekend before things went wrong and he had a HUGE crash.
The Dutch rider took off into the air and had a hard landing but fortunately has escaped any major injury.
See the crash below:
We asked for an update and about his day racing Lierop – fortunately he only dislocated his shoulder and raced the second moto and finished eighth despite the pain around one of the toughest tracks in the world.
“On Sunday, I raced Lierop and had a super time in qualifying going sixth fastest. I reasonable start in the first race but unfortunately it came to an end quickly after my big crash on the finish jump where my bike and I were pretty much broken”, explained De Waal.
“I made a mistake in front of the jump where I went crooked on the bump and in 2 seconds ended up on the ground and fell heavily. When I was on the ground my shoulder was out again and it went back in quickly. Then I quickly came into the pits and had the engine straightened and I continued on my way. For the second race I had pain in almost every part of my body but I was still able to finish eighth”, De Waal concluded.
Credit to Hans van Lierop for getting the image of him high in the air too!
