With Jason Anderson and Jorge Prado gone for 2026, Chase Sexton will take centre stage for factory Kawasaki next season, with KTM confirming they have parted ways today, but who will be the second rider after Prado’s high profile and protracted departure?

Jo Shimoda and Justin Hill were names thrown around over the last few weeks, at one point even Ken Roczen was linked but ultimately stayed at Suzuki, and now Steve Matthes is suggesting Cameron McAdoo may the the man to get the call up!

Matthes said: “Sounds like Kawi wants to put McAdoo in the 2nd 450 spot.”

McAdoo is fast, but has struggled to complete a full season injury free, will he do an RJ Hampshire and smooth out on a 450? It could be an interesting move if it happens.

*Matthes has now called himself fake news and it looks like Garrett Marchbanks will get the gig!
