Max Vohland has given an update on his injury after a freak start straight crash in Q2 at St Louis that saw him catapulted into another bike. The end result is a dislocated elbow, ending a solid 2025 season that saw him come back with good results after his painful hip dislocation that saw several complications and questions marks in the future of his career.
Vohland has to ride with a rear brake on his bars but has still shown good speed until Saturday’s injury, meaning another recovery process this winter.
Vohland said on Instagram: “Wanted to give everyone a quick update. I ended up with a dislocated right elbow. After a few X-rays at the hospital, they were able to reduce it pretty quickly. Luckily, no fractures—so it looks like a straightforward recovery. I’ll be starting my off-season a little earlier. I want to give a special thanks to my mechanic @mohead25 , who never stopped pushing and helped me develop a whole new way of riding this year. I’m looking forward to taking what we learned and building on it for an even stronger 2026 season.”
